The Bike

The Royal Enfield 'Bullet' is our motorcycle of choice. A classic 350 single cylinder originally designed in the fifties by the Small Arms Factory of Redding England, it is still manufactured in Chennai, India today. With the trademark 'built like a gun' it was chosen by the Indian government to serve the army and the police. It's a solid motorcycle with reasonable suspension, shocking brakes and heaps of charm.

The ‘Bullet’ is favoured by many foreigners who go to India. They handle very nicely and are a lot of fun to ride. With it's traditional design, thumping sound and ease of maintenance the motorcycle suits the 40 to 80 kilometer road speed, potholes, speed humps and the people and animals that wander all over the road.
